Important notes
This calculation is a rough, sports-science-based estimate using recognized reference values (incl. the ACSM position stand on fluid replacement in exercise). It is not an individual nutrition plan and not medical advice. Actual needs vary by person, acclimatization, health status and exact training conditions, and can only be determined precisely through an individual sweat test.
Sex, age and indoor/outdoor environment are optional refinements based on the same literature: absolute sweat rate tends to run slightly higher in men, thermoregulation becomes less efficient from roughly age 60, and reduced airflow indoors raises effective heat load versus the same temperature outdoors. These are small, simplified adjustments, not individually validated values.
PitFuel Electrolytes is a food supplement. Recommended intake: 1 serving (10 g) per day, dissolved in enough liquid; on days with intense physical exertion or heavy sweating this may be increased to up to 2 servings (20 g) per day. The recommended intake should not be exceeded. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of young children.
Maximum intake: based on established supplement safety reference values, the limiting nutrient is magnesium (EFSA guidance value: 250 mg/day from supplements), which corresponds to a theoretical ceiling of roughly 7 servings per day. This figure is a scientific safety reference, not a recommendation, and does not replace the recommended intake of 1–2 servings per day stated above. Underlying nutrient values are provisional pending final confirmation of the mineral salt forms by the manufacturer.
If you have specific health conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are a child or adolescent, or face unusually high heat or exertion exposure, please consult a doctor or sports medicine professional before adjusting your fluid or electrolyte intake.
